Welcome to my stop on The EARL IN MY BED by Sophie Jordan Blog Tour. Already a fan of the Forgotten Princesses series by Sophie Jordan, it wasn’t a difficult decision to read and review this lovely novella that was released in time for Valentine’s Day. I may be a little late in bringing it to you, my dear readers, but believe me if you haven’t read it yet, by all means, do – it’s very worth it. ***eARC provided by publisher via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest and unscripted review. I am not one for reading novellas or short stories. I've never liked them. Since they used to make us read anthologies of them in school. But if Sophie Jordan is writing it, I'm reading it. I have to admit I'm a little bit of a fangirl and I am not ashamed at all. Paget was such a great heroine. She was very easy to relate to and, even though this is a novella, I really felt as if I really got to know Paget. I also disliked Jamie almost as much as Paget for much of the book. I loved Jamie too. Even though I wanted to throttle him for how he treated Paget in the past. But, then again, I empathized with him because the reasons for his treatment of Paget are so heartwrenching. I loved this book. A part of me wished it was longer but then...

Hi, everyone! To celebrate the release of my latest novella, THE EARL IN MY BED, I thought I’d feature my favorite romantic heroes … aside of my hero Jamie, the hero in THE EARL IN MY BED, of course, who is a bit like a combination of Rochester and Darcy (two other awesome heroes). You can fall in love with him yourself in my novella. Now…ready? Sophie’s Top 5 most romantic heroes! Captain America. Need I say more? He’s a super hero and hot and incredibly noble … and I can’t wait until his upcoming movie, The Winter Soldier, when he gets to meet the love of his life. I’m assuming he will, of course. Because he really, really needs one. Bournein Sarah MacLean’s A Rogue By Any Other Name. Why? Yummy factor aside, he’s the perfect alpha hero. Jaded, baggage-ridden, there’s this scene where he and the heroine come...

Hi Sophie! You have several long time fans here at Love Romances and more. It is a thrill to have you here and especially on Valentine’s Day! Let’s start with an easy one--how long have you been writing? Hi! I’m thrilled to be here. I’ve been writing on and off since middle school, but in 2003 I officially determined to be a writer and try to get published – a dream which was realized in 2006. What inspired you to pick up the pen (or sit down at the computer) one day and create characters that capture the imagination? I’ve always been a dreamer … that’s what led me to reading and, ultimately, writing. Most people envision an author’s life as being really glamorous. What’s your take on this? Oh … some days I do feel like a superstar. ;) Like when I’m meeting with producers in Hollywood to discuss...

The Earl in My Bed is a sweet and passionate short story, just in time for Valentine’s Day. It’s part of the Forgotten Princesses series and takes place between books two and three, though I can honestly say, it works as a standalone. It was unspoken, but well understood, that Paget and her childhood friend, Owen, would one day marry, but with Owen off fighting a war a world away, and his older brother Jamie, the new Earl of Willingham close by, Paget starts wondering why Jamie can evoke such strong feelings in her heart, and her body, feelings she never had for Owen. After all, growing up, Jamie made it clear that she, a mere vicar's daughter, had no business associating with he and his brothers, so what is it about him, now... why is he tempting her with things she shouldn't want, things that have her questioning which...
