It is the second book in the Valentine Valley series and is about Adam Desantis & Brooke Thalbery. Brooke you met in A Town Called Valentine, which is about her brother Nate. Adam is back from his time in the military, and is home to visit with his grandma. Brooke's father hires Adam to help out on the ranch, which causes Brooke and Adam to spend a lot of time together. As Adam beginnings to heal, he and Brooke find that they both want more in life. What I love about this series is that fact that the town has so many wonderful characters.
