Review: Say Yes to the Marquess by Tessa Dare

This was a fun book. That’s what I love about Tessa Dare books; you always know what you’re getting. This book was witty, fun, sweet, and cute. Lord Piers Brandon, the Marquess of Granville has been engaged to Clio Whitmore for years. Excuse after excuse has kept him abroad. He’s... Read more »

Sinful Rewards – Our Changing Relationship With Our Moms

When I was a kid, I viewed my mom as a superhuman being who could fix anything and never require fixing herself. She’d absorb all of my temper tantrums and never strike back. She knew everything, could do anything, could shield me from the darkness in the world. Then, when I was a teenager, I said something horrible to her and she cried. This totally changed our relationship. I realized I had the ability to hurt my mom. In that moment, I viewed her as…well… human, not supermom but a regular person with her own doubts and fears and concerns. In Sinful Rewards 6, Bee realizes that she can hurt her mom and yes, this changes their relationship also. *** “What’s wrong, honeybee?” she answers, expecting the worse. There have been too many nasty surprises in my mom’s past for her to anticipate anything else. “There’s nothing wrong,” I lie,...

A Duke Surrender's His Heart...with Lorraine Heath and Giveaway

A Duke Surrender's His Heart on Christmas Eve - Lorraine Heath Lorraine Heath always dreamed of being a writer. After graduating from the University of Texas, she wrote training manuals and computer code, but something was always missing. When she read a romance novel, she became not only hooked on the genre, but quickly realized what her writing lacked: rebels, scoundrels, and rogues. She's been writing about them ever since, for both adult and young adult readers (as Rachel Hawthorne and Jade Parker and with her son as J. A. London). Places to find Lorraine: | Site | Facebook | Twitter | The Duke of Ainsley and Lady Jayne Walfort are the hero and heroine of WAKING UP WITH THE DUKE. Lady Jayne enchanted Ainsley the moment they met, but alas she was betrothed to another. But fate will play a role in bringing them together. This scene takes place before their...

A Big Wow for The Wedding Vow

I’m always tickled when my books are reviewed, but this lovely write-up for The Wedding Vow on the Fresh Fiction web site really made my day! “The Wedding Vow is a rollercoaster of emotions: raw and primal, sweet and sexy, crafted into an extremely moving story that keeps you guessing at how it will end until the very end, which is quite unusual for a romance. The Wedding Vow is, in my opinion, a work of genius.”

Writing Erotic Romance – Christmas And Other Holidays

This post has adult content. If you are under the age of eighteen years old and/or sensitive to adult language/situations, please do not read this post. Writers work on a fucked up schedule. Right now, I’m writing a story I hope will be released in August 2015. The story is set in the summer. I have the heat cranked in my writing cave and am listening to the Beach Boys. Many of the Christmas stories that are releasing this week were written in July (of this or the previous year). What this means is… We, writers, celebrate Christmas twice–once when we write a Christmas story and again when this story is released. Note: I’ll be focusing on Christmas for this post but many of my insights can be used for other holidays. Christmas is the biggest holiday theme in erotic romance. Valentine’s Day themed stories are usually a tough sell....
