On the personal front, I got my Avon Addicts replacement box. The PO lost my first one and Avon generously provided another one.
While it is not exactly the same as the other Addicts' boxes, it still has an ARC of Sarah MacLean's upcoming January release! (Which is really what I wanted; I probably would have been just as happy with that, but don't tell anyone.) Thanks to Avon and Harper Collins for giving me such a wonderful box of free stuff opportunity to spread the word on the awesomeness of Avon romances. :O
I also got a new Kindle! After I damaged (i.e. stepped on) the last two, I went for one of the cheaper models this time. I mostly use it for traveling (my iPad takes up too much space in my purse and is too heavy for my delicate wrists) and reading in bed. Isn't it pretty?
I was really tempted to order the Paperwhite but then I had to stop and think. I break things, it's a freakin' miracle my iPad is still working! There is no need to dish out $179 for a device similar to the last two I broke. So I got this one and I'm fine with it. Although I'm not so keen on the scroll text feature. I'm used to a touch screen and I keep trying to tap on page to make it work and get upset when it doesn't. :?
This was the most important highlights of my week. Now, I'm going to enjoy my new Kindle, my MacLean ARC and my holiday. What about you? What are your plans for this holiday? Got anything you are looking forward to reading this weekend?
