Eloisa James’ latest offering is an exciting tale fraught with twists and turns that moved me to finish The Ugly Duchess in one day. Not your average Regency piece; James’ vibrant characters seduced me from the start, and kept me rived throughout. Her protagonists are known by many names but their steadfast natures bind them and the reader right through to the end. I adore James’ fun style. Her strong intriguing protagonists drive this rousing take on the second chance at love trope. I’m certainly going to be adding more Eloisa James to my ‘to read list’ and you should too.


As an added bonus James has included a short story that also explores the second chance at love trope, and an excerpt from another of her fairy tale series. I think that makes this find a great introduction to Eloisa James!
