Determined to hunt down her very own hero, one who will sweep her off her feet and into wedded bliss, and despairing of finding him in London’s staid ballrooms, Heather Cynster steps out of her safe world and boldly attends a racy soiree.

But her promising hunt is ruined by the supremely interfering Viscount Breckenridge, who whisks her out of scandal—and straight into danger, when a mysterious enemy seizes her, bundles her into a coach, and conveys her out of London.

Now it’s up to the notorious Breckenridge to prove himself the hero she’s been searching for all along . . .

And coming next month, more unforgettable romance in the Cynster Sisters Trilogy

I read this book, and could not put it down. I also read the next book om the Cynster Sisters Trilogy. It left me wondering about the Laird who abducted the two sisters. I hope we hear more about him in the 3rd book.
I would like to know when the 3rd book will appear on the market?

I have read all (19) books in the Cynster series. Love reading the twist and turns, the suspense keep’s me reading late into the night.

I’ve followed Stephanie Laurens for years now. The addiction started with the Cynster series (although I have read her other novels as well). I love the concept of a big, loving family, one who always protects one another and firmly believes in fate and love. Thus, I was thrilled when I saw that a new Cynster novel was recently published! Of course I had to pick it up and read immediately.
I was pleasantly surprised when this book took on a slightly different take than her previous novels. What would normally be the final culmination in her novel, and the final impetus for the heroes to realize their love, was at the beginning of the book and simply furthered the both protagonist’s need to “see” the other person more clearly.
The concept behind Heather Cynster’s quest is similar to that of Amanda Cynster’s. However, I understand that Laurens is probably trying to draw a connection between Cynster females. That they are all strong willed, determined young women who are not going to sit back and passively wait, hoping some man notices them. No. They are going to take matters into their own hands. And while Heather is stubborn, she is not obnoxiously so. It is apparent that she has firm beliefs and intends to stick by them, not that she is being stubborn just to be stubborn, which I’ll admit sometimes seems to be the case in some of Laurens’s other novels.
And Breckenridge is a welcome change as well. Although in possession of all the qualities male Cynsters are saddled with (possessiveness, arrogance, etc…), he manages to show some restraint and listens to Heather, rather than tune her out or browbeat her into following his will. As for the subplot with the Highland laird, it was interesting. It kept me captivated and wanting to know more, especially upon realizing that he was not a villain so much as a man in dire straits of his own. And he is predictably the next hero in her upcoming novel.
Overall, I think it was a good book and I look forward to reading the rest of the Cynster Sisters Trilogy.
