I love my country, my Navy SEALs and my romance novels.
May 03, 2011

What an amazing few days it’s been. Since Sunday night, like all of you, I’ve been riveted by the continued coverage of how after almost a decade we found Osama Bin Laden. I’ve been in awe trying to envision how a small elite team of highly trained Navy SEALs infiltrated the Bin Laden compound and–without a single American casualty–took down the face of terrorism.
These men are our true heroes. No wonder we love our military romances–what is more intriguing, more romantic than a man who is willing to risk all for his country and for his true love?
I know I’ll be re-reading this week Lisa Marie Rice’s INTO THE CROSSFIRE, the first in her Protectors series, where the hero is a rugged ex-Navy SEAL. I hope to capture, if even for just a little bit, some of the magic of these brave men.

I love all the SEAL books mentioned, but also the series by Mary Margret Daughtridge that starts with SEALed With a Kiss.
Thanks for the drawing!
