Yummy Holiday Goodness
December 13, 2010

This is the happy time of year when baking becomes one of my hobbies. I don’t consider myself a master baker – that distinction goes to my sister Nancy who is known as the “pie genius” in my family, but that is another story. Today, I’m going to tell you about a wonderful place in New York known as Alice’s Teacup, and about the fabulous cookbook that Morrow just published from that restaurant.
Since receiving my copy of this book, I have made the Banana Bread (amazing) and my daughter has already requested the Ginger Molasses cookies twice. It’s a perfect for the “sugar rush” that is the holiday season.
Oh, and in the Avon offices we have already been gifted with chocolates from around the country: See’s from Suzanne Enoch and Jordan Dane, Susan Elizabeth Phillips sent a huge bucket that included Godiva and caviar, Jeaniene Frost sent a Godiva tower, Wendy Corsi Staub sent a rum bundt cake, Sophie Jordan sent her famous pecan goodies, and new author Ellyn Bache has sent the previously unknown quantity of Mint Pecans from the Vaughn-russel Candy Company in Greenville, South Carolina.
All I can say is it’s a good thing that someone gave me Vibram Running Shoes for the holidays. Enjoy!
