Avon Authors and Editors at New York ComicCom 2010!
October 11, 2010
I had the best time this weekend (October 8th-10th) hanging out with our Avon paranormal romance authors Jeaniene Frost, Marjorie M. Liu, Pamela Palmer and Juliana Stone at NYCC– and I have the pictures to prove it! Eos authors Robin Becker, Jocelynn Drake, Richard Kadrey and Margaret Ronald were also there to represent!
We began the conference with the panel: Fighting Like Cats and Dogs, Shapeshifters and Paranormal Romance. You can see Sr. VP of Sales Mike Brennan, Sr. Dir of Marketing Jean Marie Kelly and Associate Editor Esi Sogah carrying the stuffed animals we were raffling off to attendees. We also raffled off a Kindle, but I think people were more excited by the animals.
Then we were off to our author book signings–we were seated between Richard Hatch, the original Apollo from Battlestar Galactica, and Lou Ferrigno aka The Hulk! Pamela Palmer was lucky enough to take a picture with the lovely Hulk, who as you can see here is HUGE and still in great shape.
And here’s me, with fellow Eos Editor Kate Nintzel and Richard Hatch, or rather Tom Zarek in the new version of BSG.
Marjorie M. Liu was also on hand to sign and give away e-galleys of her upcoming book IN THE DARK OF DREAMS, pubbing December 2010. It also just got a starred Publishers Weekly review: “Liu’s powerful 10th Dirk & Steele paranormal romance is a satisfying adventure of intense emotion and compelling characters.” Yay, Marjorie! Here she is with fellow authors Juliana Stone and Jocelynn Drake.
And just for fun, here’s Executive Editor Erika Tsang as her superhero alter ego and me with my new man, Predator.
A good time was had by all–see you at NYCC 2011!

I really wish I had a photo of Jeaniene Frost literally running into James Marsters.
